Creating Groups - Tie, Slurs and Tuplets

Tie, slurs and tuplets are groups of notes. They are created by selecting two or more notes and creating the desired group. Ungrouping them returns the note to their former individual state.

To create a tie or slur:

1. Select the notes that are to be tied or slured. Pressing shift to add notes to the selection.

2. In the menu, click Notation ➔ Create Tie / Slur.

To create a tuplet:

1. Select the notes that are to be grouped in a tuplet. Pressing shift to add notes to the selection.

2. In the menu, click Notation ➔ Create Tuplet.

3. Use the inspector to define the value of the tuplet. 3=triplet, etc.
